MacBook 2GB memory upgrade prices

Lately, my wife's been doing a lot of stuff in photoshop on her MacBook which only has 1GB of RAM which gets eaten up so quickly and the system starts getting quite slow. I decided it was time to break down and buy some more RAM for her MacBook.
So, I'm shopping for a memory upgrade for my wife's MacBook and as I look around...WOAH...$300 from the Apple store. I don't really want to pay that much. It seems quite expensive. I figure it's gotta be cheaper than that so I start looking around.
I found this, the same memory upgrade (2GB) for $65. I can't believe Apple charges so much for it. And I can't believe they get away with either.

Wheee! (That I am getting an upgrade.) I have to say that it really doesn't bother me that the Mac upgrade is over 3xs the price. (Not just because I am a devoted mac disciple.) I think that this is a classic case of branding. Mac has very successfully made themselves like Tiffany's. Why are women dying to have a silver pendant for $300 when they could get a comparable one for around $50? Something about the status of the brand makes it feel special. I say if Apple can charge $300 for it and people feel great paying for it (especially when it means a cool trip to the Apple store;) well good for them! But I am glad that I can get my cheap memory somewhere else w/o the status driven inflation.BTW, I do want Tiffany jewelry someday...I don't really know why; I just do.
